:?:
can anyone offer any advice on how to remove the stock cd player from my 03 civic si? is it necessary to take apart all the front paneling or will the silver panel around the shifter come off somehow? noone seems to know just how to do it.

Check the technical area. There are some great articles there.

thanks a ton. after reading the walkthrough the installation only took me a short while.
now I have another question, any advice on how to run a power wire to the back of the car for an amp? i was looking for a rubber stopper in the firewall between the passenger compartment and the engine, but i couldnt see any available. once i get the power wire through then i plan to hide all the necessary wires behind/under the paneling of course.
i temporarily ghetto-rigged my system since i only had a short time to play around before i had to go to work, but the ghetto-rigging is obviously bothering the hell out of me.
the worst part of it is as soon as i upgrade my amp i am going to have to rerun a heavier power wire, so i get to do all this again shortly.
any advice is great, but any that doesnt require me to rip my dash apart is even better.
