I just traded my 02 dx for an 04 si, So far it's great though I'm in the midwest and it's crazy icy, wet, and salty. Anyways my plans are of course the I/H/E, but then simply to give it a wet 75 shot, the trickiness is that I need to be able to hit 60 in second gear thus an ecu upgrade to raise the rev limiter without having to advance the ignition. (such as hondata) I know they got the new reprogrammable with nitrous option, but thats $900. Anyone know any other options or companies that can do this without the price spike?

Hondata does not think that N/X and the flash is a good idea. I am not sure about their programmable ECU. Sorry couldn't be more help. I would just go with the I/H/E and a kit that allowed me to program when the spray came on.

Hondata can raise the rev limit for you without any timing or A/F mods, but they still charge around $600 for it; basically you'd be paying $600 for just a rev limit increase.

wait why would you want to change the rev limit increase? unless you have a lot of modifications already, isn't the governor on there to protect your engine from overheating? So if you Only wanted to raise your RPM limit wouldnt that put you in danger? Especially on a brand new car?

Well, I guess anytime you do anything to an engine it would increase your chances to break something, but really they set your limiter to their standards needed to make the engine last 110, 000 miles. Raising the limiter to 7700 shouldn't cause too may probelms tuned right. Maybe go safe and buy some valve springs.
