Hi, I just bought Polk Audio DB series component system for my front speakers. Do I need a amp to run them or can I run it off my Kenwood HU? I just finished installing the rear and it sounds great!!! :lol:

I've got my Boston Acoustics components running off the head unit, they
sound fine.
They would sound better with an amp, but in my case, I don't feel it's
necessary. I almost bought those polks, I think, but Circuit City was
out of stock...

Since you bought some nice speakers, dont waste them by powering them with a head unit. Get an amp with four channels so that in the future you can upgrade your rear speakers as well. under powered speakers sound like crap.

a nice set of components powered by an amp is pure nirvana! components cant really perform like they should w/ only 10-15 watts of real power going to them.
