I had been getting bad gas mileage when driving the car hard with the jrsc. usually like 20mph in the city when I get on it a lot. I thought it was because I was running rich, seemed like it.

But when I went to check my plugs, I soon found that I was running lean.

I have since switched to my colder plugs and now run fine...in fact, I'm at 27-28mpg running around town like a maniac....this was my mpg stock in the city.

Here's a pic of the leaning out the plugs showed:

I have a brand new Jackson Racing 4" blower pulley that came with the RSX kit if you're interested. I believe the 4" pulley would give you about 7-8 psi of boost

Also Mike,
are you still running the colder NGK plugs...
didnt you Gap them to .40 or something? I too notice shitty gas mileage when I get on it alot and might explain the occasional faint ping that happens once every 3-4 days while driving? Let me know ASAP, and I'll order those suckers from the link=)

I'm actually running denso's now, but didn't notice much of a difference from the ngk's (cooler running ones) that I regapped to .4

I'm running the Denso IK22's gapped at .40, these combined with the little bit thicker oil is a "so far so good" combo. It does pull better in the top end, and my stock plugs looked like yours...the stock NGK plugs were gapped to .50=o while the service manual says to gap them between .39-.43
