hello
i was wondering ..

i am buying a motor for my si but i wanna konw what to look for

thanks in advance

Civic Type R has the 200hp K20A2 and 6-speed just like the RSX Type S
The Integra Type R has the 220hp K20A, 6-speed, and limited slip diff. Also a much higher compression ratio (I think it's 11.5:1, but I'm not sure) than the other K-series motors
As for the ECU numbers... someone else will have to help you there. Sorry.
what about the Valvesprings. and Cam specs ? thanks

As far as gross lift goes, the K20A Type R, and the K20A2 are exactly the same.
With i-VTEC, Honda found a way to increase HP just by changing the open duration of the intake cam, and it's all in the ECU. This way, they can use the same cams in two different motors (k20a versus k20a2), and tailor the HP output by simply remapping the ECU. Another reason why some k20a2 people want the k20a (dc5r) ecu....but you would have to use high octane...93 (which the Hondata K20A2-4 program on an RSX ECU with a JDM ITR engine makes more power than using the JDM ITR ECU.
), perferably 95, to get the same results. Also, I've heard that the dc5r cams weigh less. And the dc5r cams can cause the k20a2 to go into limp mode if you haven't either got the dc5r ecu, or not upgraded to a reflash from someone like hondata.
The DC5R uses the same springs as the type s from my understanding...they are dual springs
Also, the DC5R uses a different Intake Manifold, stamped PRC and has wider runners (about 3 mm).
The K20A uses an intake with constant diameter intake runners
The K20A2's intake is much narrower at the plenum than at the head. This restricts the breathing substantially. Adding the K20a manifold will allow more airflow leaning out the rich AF of the k20a2...as the k20a2 runs rich from my understanding.

Sorry dude but your wrong, In europe the civic type r his 200HP but in Japan the civic type r his 227HP
the same for the rsx type r and the civic and the integra type r come with LSD
