View Full Version : Any 7th Gen Accords with an RBC IM?

I'm asking because I'm planning to do a TSX IM swap (I have a K24A4), but a few people have suggested that I'd be better off using an RBC IM instead.

I've already searched the pros and cons on different forums, but I have yet to find an actual 7th gen Accord owner who chose the RBC over the TSX.

Just wondering if its been done?

Thoughts/input would be much appreciated :]

from what I've read on k20a.org builders who've tried it, the RBC IM seemed to be a waste on a K24 and the TSX IM performed better. you gotta rev pretty high to see the gains from the RBC.

I agree. I have the TSX IM because the RBC's advantages don't start until you get into the upper RPM's. If you'r doing some major engine mods where you would be running in the high RPM's where the RBC IM's advantages are, then I say go for it.

Just a quick note: Do your install on a cold engine! (You may already know this, but I didn't want you to strip out any of the threads in the alu.)

Also ... here's a thread from the driveaccord.net site you might want to look at.

I think I might even try this mod on my Element, its the same K24 engine as the Accord so I think it should work?

I now have a TSX/RBB IM and P2R IM gasket awaiting install on my E... pending a couple other small parts I ordered. if there were a way to keep all the emissions stuff working, I would consider putting KPro and Brian Crower cams in it :) but I probably won't mod it too much more, it's my DD and I need decent gas mileage.

a dealership down here in SoFla sold a bunch of elements with RevHard kits on them... and MASSIVE front mounts...

this was prolly 4-5 years ago... :)
